     ”This Friday at 3 pm, meet on the Mall for a truly explosive celebration of the Sackler’s 25th anniversary. Combining pyrotechnics, art, and optical illusion, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang will make a 40-foot pine tree erupt in a shimmer of fireworks as if in a tree-lighting ceremony. Then, a cascade of black smoke will mimic the flowing beauty of traditional Chinese brush drawings. Can’t come in person? The event will stream live on http://www.asia.si.edu/sackler25.
